The Farms Golf Club · Rancho Santa Fe

Rancho Santa Fe, 92067
If golf is the reason you're moving, The Farms is one of the first places I'll show you. About 90 homes sit behind one guard gate in Rancho Santa Fe, set around a Pete and Perry Dye course that Tim Liddy restored in 2025. Liddy started his career working alongside Pete Dye and he kept the design true to the original.
A good day here starts with an early round and ends with dinner at Rancho Valencia next door or a few minutes away in Del Mar. In between you're home on a quiet street. Most of the homes are custom and date from the 1990s, many of them single story, on about two-thirds of an acre to an acre. The Farms Golf Club is private and membership is by invitation, which makes joining a separate decision from buying the home.

It sits just south of Fairbanks Ranch.

Sold in the last twelve months: 6 homes. The median sale was $4,872,500 or $894 a square foot. Prices ran from $4,361,960 to $6,165,000. The median home spent 34 days on the market. The homes that sold ranged from about 5,100 to 7,800 square feet with four to six bedrooms. All were single-family homes built between 1990 and 2014.
On the market today: 2 homes. One is asking $8,250,000 for about 10,150 square feet on just over an acre. The other is asking $4,495,000 for about 4,200 square feet. Neither is under contract.
Figures: Irons & Estates analysis of MLS data, November 1, 2026. With only six sales, one home can move the median a lot. Not a guarantee of value; ask us for the homes behind any number. Prepared by AJ Powers, Broker/Owner, Irons & Estates (DRE #01856860).
Lots run from about two-thirds of an acre to an acre. A handful of homes were built since 2005 and some of the original homes have been remodeled or rebuilt. If you're weighing a home that needs work against one that's finished, I can help you think through the work and the cost.
Before you write an offer we pull the association documents for the specific home, including the current dues and the rules. Dues on a listing sheet are typed in by the listing agent and are often out of date.
The club describes itself as golf-centered. In 1984 its founders worked with Tommy Jacobs and Pete, Perry and Alice Dye to turn a small lake and 240 acres into a championship course. Tom Lehman later played a part in a redesign and the club says both he and Tommy Jacobs are still members.
The course has hosted the Trans-Mississippi Four-Ball Championship, USGA Amateur Qualifiers, SCGA Championships and NCAA Regionals. It was renovated in 2025 under architect Tim Liddy, who began his career working alongside Pete Dye. The work restored the bunkers, improved the fairways and updated the practice areas while keeping the Dye design.
Off the course the club runs member dinners, wine and craft beer tastings, barbecues, cooking classes and holiday events.
